Event Policies and Expectations

At Nerdz and Hip Hop Mini Con, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all attendees, vendors, staff, guests, cosplayers, performers, and venue partners.

By attending Nerdz and Hip Hop Mini Con, you agree to conduct yourself respectfully and follow all event rules, venue policies, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.

Nerdz and Hip Hop Mini Con reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual from the event at its sole discretion, without refund, for behavior that violates these policies, creates a safety concern, or disrupts the experience of others.

Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or abuse of any kind toward attendees, vendors, staff, guests, cosplayers, performers, or venue personnel

  • Stalking, intimidation, bullying, or persistent unwanted attention

  • Threats, statements, or acts of violence

  • Taking photos or videos of individuals without their consent in a way that invades privacy, causes discomfort, or is inappropriate

  • Disruptive, obscene, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior, including excessive intoxication

  • Unsafe or reckless conduct in event areas, public mall areas, parking areas, or vendor spaces

  • Bringing weapons of any kind without prior written authorization and proper clearance

  • Failure or refusal to follow instructions from event staff, security, mall management, or venue personnel

  • Possession or use of illegal substances or drug paraphernalia

  • Damage to property belonging to the venue, vendors, staff, guests, or other attendees

  • Unauthorized selling, solicitation, promotion, or distribution of materials without prior approval

Additional Guidelines

  • Costumes & Props: Cosplay is encouraged; however, all costumes and props must be safe, non-functional, family-friendly, and compliant with venue rules. Event staff, security, or venue personnel may inspect, restrict, or deny any prop or costume item at their discretion.

  • Photography & Media: By attending Nerdz and Hip Hop Mini Con, you acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken during the event for promotional, marketing, social media, and recap purposes. If you prefer not to be featured, please inform an event staff member.

  • Personal Responsibility: Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings. Nerdz and Hip Hop Mini Con is not liable for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged items.

  • Health & Safety: Please follow all posted safety guidelines and instructions from event staff, security, and venue personnel. In case of an emergency, follow venue procedures and staff direction immediately.

  • Minors: Attendees under the age of 18 must follow all venue rules and may be required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, depending on venue policy.

Enforcement
Violations of these policies may result in immediate removal from the event without refund. Serious violations may be reported to venue security and/or law enforcement.
